About

Someone once said that if anyone tried to run a business like most people run their lives, no company would ever be profitable and the world economy would collapse. Personal lives are messy, disorganized, and complicated. Chaotic. We are subject to conflicting drives and desires within ourselves, not to mention those of others, and the ever-changing forces of the world around us. Sometimes it's all you can do to get through the day and home to dinner, let alone make positive changes in your life, realize how you got where you are, or understand why your life is the way it is.

I love math. I love numbers. And I love data. So why not apply the same types of analysis done in quantitative disciplines to the everyday, and try to understand these "less important" parts of life, like we do the loftier, "more important" topics? It's about looking at the world through the eyes of scientist, and understanding life and the world around us in different way, instead of letting it pass us by.

This is everyday analytics. Enjoy.

"I often say that when you can measure what you are speaking about, and express it in numbers, you know something about it; but when you cannot measure it, when you cannot express it in numbers, your knowledge is of a meagre and unsatisfactory kind"
- Lord Kelvin

"If you can't measure it, it doesn't exist."
